Okay Ladies, Now Let's Get In Formation

Hi, long time no see! It feels so good to be back. Now, let's talk about the latest trends. From micro sunglasses to statement tops to cargo pants to fanny packs, it's no surprise that fashion recycles itself. Most of the 80's and 90's trends are making a huge comeback and I'm all for it.

Today's look is from Legato Apparel. I'll be providing direct links to each piece throughout this post because sharing is caring and what we're not about to do is be stingy. All jokes aside, this post is not sponsored. I wanted to work with Legato Apparel because not only do they have cute, trendy pieces for an affordable price, but I also wanted to share other clothing websites you can shop at other than your typical brands. I'd love to be able to buy from designer brands, but your girl is a broke college student and shopping at the same old stores can get repetitive.

I had the opportunity to pick pieces from their website and came up with this look. I love being able to bring my visions to life. It definitely gives off a "don't mess with me" vibe, but I'm nice, I promise. It's not your average, everyday look, but it's a badass look for a festival or a night out on the town. I get so many people telling me online and in person - "I wish I could rock that look" or "I would've not been able to pull that off", but let me tell you. You CAN rock it and you CAN pull it off. It's all about confidence. Of course people will stare because it's not your typical white tee and blue jeans and they have their opinion, but that's on them. People may say "You're doing too much", but maybe they're the ones that are doing too little. Finding your personal style is trial and error, but it's all about how clothes and accessories make you feel.

What I love about this look is that it's the best of both worlds - feminine and street fashion. I styled the white off the shoulder top with the baggy cargo pants to balance the look and juxtapose the two styles. Also, the silver chain detail on the cargo pants, the fanny pack, and the sunglasses are the perfect accessories to pull the look together for an edgy look.

Micro sunnies. Ah, the impractical sunglasses that are not meant to protect your eyes from the sun. It's more of a fashion accessory to say the least. I have seen these type of sunglasses everywhere on my Instagram. They come in many different styles and colors, but in the end, they are all worn the same: on the lower bridge of your nose. Some people hate it, but I love it. Either you can look like a member from the three blind mice or Rhianna. There's no in between. It's a nice fashion statement though I hate how sunglasses leave two indents on the sides of my nose. Shop for these cat-eye sunnies here.

Puffy-Sleeve tops. These style of tops are all the rage. I have seen it on Aimee Song and Pau Dictado, two of my favorite bloggers as of late and I wanted to try out the trend myself. The accentuated sleeves is both flirty and playful. It definitely brings drama to your wardrobe, in a good way. The 80's exaggerated sleeves were all over the runaways and it can be tricky to style it at first, but try styling it with a pair of cropped denim! It's a classic look. This white off the shoulder top is made of great quality. The sleeves do not ride up and it's form fitting.

Fanny packs. I made a blog post back in March dedicated to fanny packs. You can read about it here, but now I'm actually wearing it like a true tourist. Fanny packs are so convenient and it's attached to the hip, literally. I remember I took mine to the club and all my belongings were safe and secured. If you want to try out the fanny pack trend, I highly recommend getting a black fanny pack like this one. It goes with everything!

Cargo pants. Finally. Pants that have big pockets! You can wear these pants with everything. The utilitarian pants have to be one of my favorite kind of pants because not only is it comfortable, but it has all sorts of pockets and it suits my personal style. You can wear it with sneakers, boots, and even heels. These cargo pants comes with a detachable silver chain, which is great because you basically bought two pieces for the price of one.

Would you rock any of these trends? Yay or nay?
