Handy Dandy Fanny Pack

It's the return of the fanny packs. Fanny packs aren't only reserved for tourists or the older generation. That's right. Travel bags. Belt bags. Hip packs. Bum bags. However you want to call it - fanny packs are making a comeback! From the runaways to the street style scene, this hands-free accessory is quite stylish and useful for those out and about.

This reinvention of belting a crossbody around your waist has less padding and neon and more leather and structure. Even throwing it over your shoulder has become a thing. I remember spotting this accessory when Louis Vuitton and Supreme collaborated and then Gucci had their logo belt bag. The styles now are more versatile than ever before.

In today's look, I am collaborating with Boohoo. I'm sporting their basic pocket front bumbag and slung it over my shoulder for a more modern day look. Unfortunately, this one is sold out, but I did find similar ones on their site here and here. This look was actually inspired by a dynamic duo named TheLineUp. I've been watching their Youtube videos ever since I discovered their iconic lookbooks and they've been killing it! I love both of their styles and they have a cool collection of fanny packs. Also, not to mention The Rock (Dywane Johnson) famous 90's photo - his turtleneck, blue denim, and the fanny pack. Fanny packs give off an edgy, streetstyle feel to a look, which I'm digging. I love that I can put my essentials in there and not worry about theft because it's belted on me and super convenient.

As for the rest of the look, the white ribbed long sleeve crop top is from Forever 21, the wide leg trousers are from Boohoo, which I'll also link similar ones from their site here, and the shoes are the classic Nike Cortez. Also, I wore my silver hoops because hoops and lip gloss is a mood. It may be impractical for some, but there's just something about wearing hoop earrings that makes me feel some type of way. I've been noticing this trend too and I'm all for it! Hoop earrings have made its way back into fashion and everyone and their mama's are styling them. There's all kinds of hoop earrings, but I love sticking to the classic round ones. They go with everything!

Anyone else sporting the fanny pack? Is it a yay or nay?
