Game-Changing Bras You Need In Your Life

The weather is getting warmer, which means baring a lot of skin. In today's post, I'll be talking about boobs, breasts, jugs, tatas, titties, whatever you want to call them. It's that time where we swap out the standard bra for one that is freeing and doesn't make an outfit look like a hot mess. Believe it or not, wearing an undergarment can really make or break a look. To all my ladies out there, if there's one thing (or should I say a couple things) you should invest in, they are a t-shirt bra, a bralette, a sticky backless bra, and nipple covers. This one accessory can not only make a look, but drastically change it... in a good way, trust me. Some of them may have you feeling a little uncomfortable, especially if it's your first time trying it, but all of them are light and will support the goods.

Before purchasing any kind of bra, I suggest making sure you know your right cup size. Wearing an improperly fitted bra can be confining your boobs and back and won't be supportive, which can result in aching muscles and poor posture.

1.) T-shirt Bras

The difference between a regular bra and a t-shirt bra is that a t-shirt bra is smooth and has seamless cups whereas a regular bra has seams, which can protrude through a top and we do not want that to happen. The purpose of a t-shirt bra is for everyday use. Though regular bras can make you feel sexy and give you a push-up, t-shirt bras are extremely comfortable and provides a smooth silhouette.

I highly suggest purchasing a flesh-colored t-shirt bra because from personal experience, even white bras can show through white t-shirts. I have this t-shirt bra from Adore Me and it feels super light and comfortable. They're versatile and form a great foundation for any top in your wardrobe. Some t-shirt bras may or not may be molded or padded, so choose one that suits your t-shirt needs!

2.) Bralettes

I'd like to call this, "the liberating bra". It's little to no padding, there's no fuss, and you don't have to hide it! There are a ton of styles out there like strappy bralettes, high-neck bralettes, lace halter bralettes and detailed-racer back bralettes. And not to mention the material can be made out of lace, mesh or microfiber. The best part is that, bralettes are functional AND fashionable.

Here I have three different bralettes - the two black ones are from Adore Me and the white one is from Forever 21. You can pretty much find bralettes anywhere with push-up or little to no padding.

I love wearing bralettes for styling purposes. For example, when I wear a loose top, I like to pair it with a lace halter bralette, so the lace is shown on my collarbones. Or when I wear a low v-neck top, I pair it with a strappy bralette, which adds a nice accent to a plain colored top. It's a fun way to show off some skin without having a regular bra fully visible.

3.) Sticky Backless Bras

This bra is my most used one - the Super Strapless Adhesive Bra from Target. They look like chicken cutlets, but they make the boobs look great! It's versatile when you want a lift or you can even detach it and use it as two separate cups. The farther you stick the bra, the more push-up you'll get. I love using this bra for off the shoulder tops and dresses. It may be intimidating at first because I thought it could somehow lose it's stickiness and slip off, but nope. I was wrong! I love that I can re-use it so many times, but just make sure to clean your bra by holding the cups under a running tap with soap. I recommend using the palm of your head instead of your fingernails or a brush, since it can damage the adhesive.

Now, I just discovered this Eco-chic bra from Kissbobo and I love it just as much as my silicone strapless adhesive bra. They kindly sent this to me to give it a try. At first, I was iffy because I do love my silicone bra and was not sure if it could meet my expectations, but this one for sure did. If not, better than I expected. I wanted to mention this bra because it's made from natural latex. It's a great alternative to silicone and sponge. I also appreciate that it's freshly scented, so it doesn't leave your cleavage with an odor. And yes, chests get sweaty, especially in the Summer time. It's natural! We are all human. Despite sweating in the warmer months, this bra feels like it's barely there.

Both of these sticky backless bras have a ton of similarities like how it's strapless, "invisible", and it's reusable, so it's based on your preference. But I like how the Kissbobo Eco-chic bra is skin-friendly. Also, Kissbobo was kind enough to create a discount code: 'KISSBOBO30' Take advantage of it before it expires!

By the way, I recommend going down at least one band size to compensate the loss support you'd get from the straps. And if you have a bigger chest, make sure the band is wide enough so it suits you and won't leave you uncomfortable.

4.) Nipple Covers

Ah, yes. The infamous rave attire.  The ones I prefer are not metallic rainbow stars or sequin heart shaped, but they do cover the nips! Here I have the Reusable Silicone Gel Petals from Target. I like using these when I wear a sheer bodysuit or when I don't feel like wearing a whole bra. One thing I want to mention is to avoid wearing thin light colored tops because it will look like you have swollen nipples. This brand also carry large gel petals for my full figure ladies out there! I also recently discovered the Hollywood Fashion Secrets Silicone Coverups, which are just as great. The first ones I mentioned have a round shape to them whereas these are thin for a smooth appearance.

All of these bras are essential to achieve that effortless look. These are definitely a game changer for me. I was cautious about purchasing them because 1) they are pricey and 2) I thought it would look unflattering or slip down, but from my experience, these bras are reliable. There's no need to tape your nips or tuck away the straps of your regular bra anymore!

The weather is heating up, so these bras are a must. I want every woman to feel confident and sexy when they're rocking their outfit.
