Spring Florals
Spring has sprung! Time to bring out the florals, silky tops, strappy sandals, straw hats/bags, sunnies, and flowy dresses. And for those who suffer from allergies, it’s about that time for allergy medicine... unfortunately.
Two months ago, I had the chance to visit the almond blossoms in Woodland, CA with my sister and it was unreal. It was so beautiful! Even though there were busy bees flying around, which made us freak out at times, we let them do their thing and took some photos. There was a moment where I almost fell flat on my face and tripped over several times, but it was so worth it! Pictures really don't do it justice.
I love going on adventures and capturing moments like this. Yes, I like showcasing my outfits in front of a building or whatever that's part of my aesthetic on the gram, but there's so much to see and explore. It's a nice change of scenery. Not to get deep here, but I love nature and what the world has to offer. Seeing this field of almond blossoms was eye-opening. We all face minor problems everyday and yes it can suck, but it means so little in the grand scheme of things. This was my first time seeing almond trees and it was such a cool experience. I highly recommend checking these out when it's in season!
Now that the sun is out and the sky is blue, I'm so ready for the road trips and bumming it at the beach. This year is all about less stuff, more experiences. I'm feeling so inspired and motivated. There's just something about the changing of seasons that really puts me in a good mood.
I love talking about fashion and makeup, but I like talking about life in general too. Fashion and makeup is pretty and glam, but you know, sometimes, life can be ugly. There's heartbreak, loss, depression, envy, stress, etc. I want to talk about these things because we're all human. There's more to life than appearances. One of the things I like about blogging is that, here, I can be my true self and talk about what's on my mind. I can type about how I'm feeling or what I'm thinking without any regrets.
For instance, the work of being a fashion blogger. Truthfully, I am grateful for every opportunity that comes my way, but there are times where I'm stuck in a rut or feel like I'm not doing enough or it gets overwhelming. I'm not sure if people understand how exhausting and challenging it can be sometimes. Being a fashion blogger is not that easy. Of course it doesn't compare to a doctor or lawyer, but it takes dedication and diligence. It's not all about getting "free" stuff. Behind each blog post, photo, and video, it takes great time and effort to make your visions come to life. It's trial and error.
What I've learned so far about being a fashion blogger is that not everyone is going to support you and the best things in life really aren't "things". I could actually do a blog post about this topic because I could go on and on, so I'll keep this short. I've been a fashion blogger for about 4 years now and let me just say, I've learned ALOT about myself and this world of fashion blogging, especially since I'm a one wo(man) show. Not to mention, I'm a full time college student, interning, and working part time, but hey, I make it work because I love what I do. It's all about spending your time wisely and finding balance.
One last thing before I go, if there's anything you'd like for me to talk about or have any questions, don't hesitate to let me know in the comments down below!
