Cut It Out

The sun's out, which means it's about time to show off our legs and feet! It's getting warm here in Northern California, so it's time to put away the hoodies and sweats... sadly. Don't get me wrong, I love sneakers and boots, but when it's hot and humid, I want my feet to breathe. I was actually on the hunt for some new sandals and stumbled upon these bad boys. I've been eyeing peep-toe mules, but I wasn't so sure if I could rock them. The Skye Strappy Sandal Heel from Zooshoo.com is pretty similar to mules, but these have a strap on the back. The strap adjusts to your heel, so it won't slip off. It fits true to size and it's a two inch heel, so they're comfortable to walk in. These sandals also come in tan and dark brown.

I'm a huge advocate for black on black looks, so I came up with this! I know black isn't the best option for a sunny day out, since the color black absorbs everything coming from the sun, but hey, at least you'd look bold and badass. This look is great for a day to night outfit with the leather jacket and culottes. Another piece that I've been wanting to style are culottes. I love how effortless it looks regardless of what kind of top you decide to pair it with. I've been seeing these everywhere ever since the sun came out. 

These black culottes are from ae.com and I scored these on sale. Unfortunately, I don't see these on their website anymore, but there's one similar here: Don't Ask Why Cropped Culotte. I love how airy and relaxed they are. I love my denim, but sometimes, I feel restricted. I'm definitely going to purchase a colored pair very soon. Besides, it's getting hot now, so I want to let loose! For a casual fit, I purchased my grey tee from Cottonon.com and threw on my leather jacket from Forever21.com. Then to top it off, my hat is from zaful.com.
