Farewell 2016
It's crazy to think this will be my last post for 2016. I still have a ton of ideas to share with you all when it comes to fashion, beauty, and life in general. Stay tuned! I never expected myself to have the courage to do this, but I love what I'm doing. Coming from a place that isn't known to be "trendy" or "hip", people will give me looks here and there, but I don't mind. Not anymore. I'm so ecstatic to know I've inspired you in some way. I love when people ask me for advice when it comes to what brands to shop at, what outfit to wear on an occasion, or which piece do I prefer. It's so fun! I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for always tuning in to my blog posts. From my family, friends, boyfriend, brands and companies, other fashion bloggers, and strangers near and far that spread positive vibes - thank you so, so much. Okay, enough being sappy. Let's end this year with a bang!
Here's an outfit for those who are going out for drinks, partying their hearts out, dancing the night away, or simply wanting to look fabulous on a night out.
Let's just take a moment and talk about the ivory faux fur coat. Isn't it to die for? I've been seeing so many people rock the faux fur trend and I'm all for it! It not only keeps your warm, but it spices up any look. Did I mention it's SO soft? I feel like a polar bear. I have a couple more coats I've picked up and I cannot wait to style them! I went with a black and white outfit because you can never go wrong with neutrals. The black off the shoulder choker dress is velvet, so I love how the coat compliments it. Both the coat and dress are from Wetseal.com. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find the dress online, but I'm sure they have it in stores! To finish off the look, I went with gold shimmery heels from Charlotte Russe because it's New Year's Eve! It's also the heels I wore to the Charlotte Russe in-store holiday event, which I co-hosted. You're welcome to read all about it in the past few posts.
As for my hair and makeup, I threw my hair up in a high ponytail just to accentuate how the dress is off the shoulder and my collar bones. By the way, putting your hair in ponytail also slims down your face. For my makeup, I've been experimenting lately. I decided to go with this crystal silver smoky eye with dramatic lashes and a bold lip. I used the Morphebrushes.com 35K palette, NYX cosmetics glitter in "Crystal", and the lashes are from Eylure in "Grand Glamour. For my lips, I went with Colourpop.com Ultra Matte Lip in "Trap".
Before I head out, I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year! Kiss your favorite someone or your dog or maybe even the liquor! Please remember to be safe and do not drink and drive. There's always Uber or Lyft.
