A Fun Night Out
Finals are over, it's time to celebrate! Around this time, students travel back to their hometowns, family and friends get together in celebration for the holidays, and people plan eventful nights to ring in the new year! Figuring out to wear should be the least of your worries. As of right now, Charlotte Russe is having a huge sale online and in store! Make sure to check out their site before the deal is over. They have a variety of dresses, skirts, and tops to choose from; great for any occasion.
On Wednesday, December 14, 2016, I had the pleasure of co-hosting Charlotte Russe's holiday in-store event at the Oakridge Mall in San Jose. It was a fun-filled night with treats, music, photos, and good vibes. Thanks to those who made this possible! Also, shout out to Natalie aka @hentai.hunny and Thy aka @thy.time for the great night! I must say, this was my first event I've co-hosted and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was excited, yet nervous. Everyone was welcoming and pictures were being taken left and right. Customers came in with warm smiles and shopped around. There was also a full on photoshoot happening, which was fun. The team there was so kind and beautiful!
That night, I wore some color! Typically, I would go for black, but not this time. I decided to go with this Charlotte Russe shimmery emerald green dress. There were so many options for me to choose from, but I wanted to correlate my look to the holiday theme.
It's been awhile since I've dressed up in a dress and heels, since I'm a student and I work, so no social life for me! All jokes aside, I felt not only accomplished about conquering finals at school, but beautiful because of my look. That day, I had my hair and makeup done by the @beglammednow team. I tried a makeup look I don't typically go for and my hair was beautifully curled! This shoot was the day after, so unfortunately I don't have the photos from that night yet. I love how the dress hugs me in the right places and the low v-cut was a bit risky, but I wanted to step out of my comfort zone.

Moving on to accessories, to make the dress pop, I wanted to go with either silver or gold. I chose gold because it's more of a holiday color and having emerald green and gold together was like a match made in heaven. I chose a choker necklace (Sold out, sorry! But you can definitely find similar ones from Windsor Store or Forever 21) and shimmer two-piece gold heels that are both from Charlotte Russe, surprise surprise.
I admit, having this opportunity to co-host an event with a company like Charlotte Russe, I was super nervous. I didn't know anyone, but everyone that made this night possible was so sweet and kind. I felt comfortable and had so much fun. By the end of the night,my feet were killing me and I was ready to take off my makeup, but it was so worth it! Oh yeah, there was a candy station and trust me when I say this, I was living for the gummy bears! They were strawberry banana flavored! So good. I just wanted to say thank you to Charlotte Russe. I had a blast!
