Pleather Weather
I feel as though it's getting colder day by day. Winter is approaching! Until then, let's enjoy the leaves falling. Aside from the trendy long wool coats and puffy bomber jackets, (faux) moto jackets make a bold statement. There's various designs when it comes to moto jackets - the more zipper and button accents, the better! It creates an edgy vibe to any look. I love styling these kind of jackets during the colder months because it keeps the cold out. Though I love cardigans and sweaters, it doesn't necessarily keep me warm because of the fabric unless it's closely stitched together.
There is your typical black moto jacket, which I believe every person should have in their closet, but I wanted to branch out, since all I wear is black and white. I spotted this beautiful burgundy collarless moto jacket from Forever 21 online and I knew I had to have it. The moto jackets that I had in my closet had collars and were all black. I wanted to experiment with my looks. I chose a size Small and jacket fits just right. I love the ribbed detailing on the sleeves and shoulders. Though Forever 21 has hits and misses with their pieces, this piece is made of exceptional material. The price point is spot on too! I was thinking about purchasing a moto jacket from Zara or Nastygal, but I seen this baby on Forever 21's site and I don't regret it one bit.
I wanted to make this moto jacket the statement piece so I settled for a white and black look. It's a classic! I wore a white turtleneck crop top, pleather pants that I thrfited (yay to thrifting!) and perspex heeled boots. I threw on a black brimmed hat because my hair was not havin' it. I just realized the makeup look I did correlates to the burgundy jacket. I used the Morphe 35O palette if you're wondering!
It would be a total waste if I buy something expensive and only wear it for a few times. So,after reading your article. I finally made my decision with a black t shirt dress.
