Ready to Sparkle ft. Charlotte Russe
The holidays are just around the corner...
25 days 'til Christmas!
Let me start off by saying, I'm a CR It Girl! *cue the champagne! Charlotte Russe searched near and far and picked 50 girls for their #CRItGirl campaign. I was the one of 50 chosen. I cannot thank you enough to those who have been supporting me from the beginning when I took photos on self timer and mirror outfit photos. People have to start somewhere right? Throughout my journey, I have learned to love myself and be confident in my own skin. I have a pleasure of showcasing my style; in hopes of inspiring others. I have a passion for fashion, as cliché as it may sound.
Starting my CR It Girl journey, I attended my Welcome Moment at Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento, CA. Representin'! There, I was able to choose pieces that I could incorporate into my style with the help of CR employees. I found pieces that I'm comfortable with and pieces that are out of my comfort zone like this outfit!
Keeping in mind of the holidays and the new year, I will be attending festive gatherings and parties, so I chose this outfit for a fun evening or night out. I'm not one to wear anything shimmery, but this jumpsuit caught my eye because of it's sweetheart neckline, which I am a huge fan of.
Jumpsuits are perfect when you can't think of any top + bottoms that'll mesh well together, but then again, when you use the bathroom, especially a public bathroom, you start to rethink your decision just for a minute. Am I right ladies? Regardless of that uncomfortable situation, I'm still going to rock this shimmery strapless sweetheart jumpsuit because it's too cute to pass up! By the way, I'm wearing an X-Small, even though I'm usually a Small and it fits perfectly.
To go along with the jumpsuit, I had to go with a bold statement necklace. I also wanted to compliment the sweetheart neckline. I decided to go with this black and gold "faceted stone bib necklace" from Charlotte Russe, which is unfortunately sold out, but there are other colors to choose from!
Don't be afraid to go out of your comfort zone and experiment, whether it's food, an activity, or fashion. You only live once! Forget what others have to say. Don't give people the time of day when they give you funny looks too. It's okay to be different. If you feel good about yourself, that's all that matters. I always hear people say "Why are you so dressed up for?" or "Who are trying to impress?". Don't let that effect you because they are trying to belittle your self-expression. Who cares if it's not in style, who cares if it's not name brand, who cares if it's not up to par with someone else's opinion. I had my fair share of opinions, but I've learned to appreciate myself and focus on the brighter side of things. I am much happier now. I may have a gone a little off topic, but I wanted to express my personal thoughts.
Special thanks to Charlotte Russe - now I'm ready to sparkle and shine!
