Black Friday Haul
Thrifting is the way to go!
Let me just say, around this time (Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Christmas), thrift stores are a great place to shop at because of their sales - 50% OFF everything! For me, I tend to not find much at the mall because of how packed it is and most of the stores don't have a great of a sale going on, so meh. I'd rather go thrifting instead. It was a total success!
At first, we were sort of lazy, but then eventually got up and got dressed and by that time, the first particular store we were going to opened 35 mins ago. I thought it was going to be packed, but luckily turned out to be barely anyone (Yay!) Unfortunately, this thrift store had no significant sale, it was just a specific color tag, but that's alright, we scored some great finds nonetheless!
After that, we went to another thrift store in our area and by that time, it was of course, filled with people and no carts. This one was 50% off, so no wonder. We started out with the sweaters/jackets and found very cute ones! I forgot to mention before today, we stopped by the store to see the Black Friday deal and sort of looked around and I spotted this gorgeous faux fur vest that was basically brand new and I really, really wanted it, but already found other stuff along the way, so I had to put it back. We tried to find it again, going up and down the aisles back and forth, but of course it wasn't there anymore. I was so sad. I hope it's in a closet with a person who is proudly rockin' it! Anyways, we've bought the majority of the goodies here and man, am I proud to find these!
My sister and I make a great team when it comes to thrifting, I kid you not. She helps me with deciding and we can talk and laugh nonstop. Some are hers, most of them are mine (LOL no shame) and some are gifts as well. Three turtlenecks, four "festive" oversized sweaters, Nike track pants, Adidas crewneck, Adidas jacket, Houndstooth blazer, Denim bomber jacket, a mock neck cropped sweater, an oversized flannel, and a sheer sleeveless top! \ (•◡•) /
Tips: Black Friday isn't all about the mall (Leave that to Cyber Monday), head over the thrift stores! They definitely have alot to offer, believe me!
- You really find alot of great things if you just be patient and have a keen eye. When you spot something you like, it literally feels like you've struck gold.
- Don't be afraid to browse around by yourself. You're shopping for yourself!
- Make sure you look at everything even the men's section, don't feel intimidated or embarrassed (that's where you'll find a ton of oversized flannels/sweaters!)
- MAKE SURE YOU WASH THE CLOTHES BEFORE WEARING THEM!
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving day and had a blast shopping and hopefully finding great steals! Now let's have a moment of silence to our bank account and/or wallet...
