Thrifty Nifty
The day I have off from work, of course I'd choose to go thrifting. Well, good thing I had the day off because my local thrift shops were having a HUGE sale on Labor Day. (TIP: On holidays, thrift shops would usually have a sale going on, so be on the look out for those!)
The first store my sister and I went to, they were having a 50% off sale! Crazy right? Surprisingly, there weren't as much people as I expected. I still had room to move the cart around and no waiting in lines for the fitting room. From this shop, I found a black knit cardigan, dark wash denim button up, a black knit sweater dress, a burgundy long sleeve, a grey v-neck long sleeve, and my most favorite purchase from this shop - an official Disney denim jacket! It is the cutest thing ever!
Then after that, we headed out to another thrift store, but the sale wasn't the same deal as the last. We had to reach a certain limit in order to get discounts. Nonetheless, we did! My mission was to find a pair of high waisted jeans that I can make into either distressed jeans or another pair of boyfriend jeans. I was literally looking through all of the jeans and carrying the clothes I wanted around because they were no more carts unfortunately, but that definitely didn't stop me. Well, mission accomplished! (YAY!) I found a great pair of light denim high waisted jeans that hug my waist so nice. I feel like it was meant to be. I also found a light denim pair of skinny jeans and dark denim Levi jeans, which I will soon turn into boyfriend jeans! In the end, I also came out with an oversized dark medium wash denim jacket, a paisley printed top, and a sleeveless crochet dress! I guess you could say, I was determined to find myself denim anything.
Usually, I would show you all my receipts, but somehow the receipts fell in my sister's car and I'm unable to get them now, since I'm away from home (hence the background of the thrift haul I posted. It's carpet, not hard wood floor) There are still tags on the clothes, so I basically calculated it and it all came out to be just under $40.
I can't wait to wear all of these in the Fall/Winter. My Fall/Winter collection is coming together and I'm so thrilled to style these, so stay tuned for more outfits of the day(s)!
Happy thrifting! ♡
